Recording from a decoder to digital recorder?
I want to record a decoded signal from a decoder box onto the hard disc of a SAGECOM digital Freeview recorder. The signal is from Italy via satellite. I can tune in the Freeview with no problem but I can’t tune in the digital recorder.
There are 2 Scart connectors in the back but I have been told that these cannot be used to tune the signal in. To overcome this I have connected the Scart on the decoder to a modulator and from there I have connected a RF cable to the RF input on the digital box. I then tried to tune the digital box in using that signal. I only want to receive one channel but it does not seem to work.
I don’t understand why not as the same signal will be accepted by the TV.
As anyone got any idea why it will not work or how to fix it?
