Is there a better place to get my wii fixed than sending it to nintendo?

My Wii’s discs won’t read. None of them. This is a common problem where all I have to do is get it sent in to Nintendo and have it back within about a week. HOWEVER, my parents seem to think it will be easier to take it in to Best Buys or something and see if they will fix it.

I’d like to know if their decisions would be smarter as in cheaper and quicker.

Should I send my homebrew installed wii to wii repair center?

I had wii Homebrew chanel and then i tried to downgrade it so after that i would show anything on the screen. should i send to wii reapair center. Or they will charge me?

is the freezing in black ops on the wii fixed yet? I haven’t bought the game but I don’t want to buy a game that will break my wii.

Does wii have alot of hardware problems ( disc error reading problems,ect)?

i want to buy a wii but im afraid that after 1 yr warranty is out , that i would have to pay to get my wii repaired if something does happen?
