Would the Zoom H1 Portable digital recorder be useful for recording sound for videos?

I want to shoot short films and I want some inexpensive audio equipment to make the sound quality better than if I was to recorder with my camera mic. Is the Zoom H1 Portable digital recorder good for this purpose.

why the F can\’t i hear the things i say?

or realize what im saying before i say things?

well actually i know what im saying a lot
but then other times i dont, and it catches me off gaurd,
especially in school like if the teacher calls on me i freeze up
in this effort to be more outgoing i would force myself to be vocal and say things but that backfired kinda sometimes=/

this may seem like a small thing but its actually really huge for me
it makes me not want to leave my house ever
stop socializing etc

some people tell me im normal and over-reacting
but then ive been told to get a voice recorder, and my mom was always picking apart everything i said when i opened my mouth as kid and still does actually

um i ask my therapist about this and she’s not very helpful. advice?

honestly just whats a good rule of thumb to stop doubting yourself in this situation? because im becoming way too reclusive and people are like wtf is your problem sara

Recording from a decoder to digital recorder?

I want to record a decoded signal from a decoder box onto the hard disc of a SAGECOM digital Freeview recorder. The signal is from Italy via satellite. I can tune in the Freeview with no problem but I can’t tune in the digital recorder.
There are 2 Scart connectors in the back but I have been told that these cannot be used to tune the signal in. To overcome this I have connected the Scart on the decoder to a modulator and from there I have connected a RF cable to the RF input on the digital box. I then tried to tune the digital box in using that signal. I only want to receive one channel but it does not seem to work.
I don’t understand why not as the same signal will be accepted by the TV.
As anyone got any idea why it will not work or how to fix it?

I have this cool ringtone that I downloaded from the Zedge app on my Samsung galaxy phone. And it’s basically Shaggy and Scooby from Scooby Doo recording a voicemail. Problem was I can only download it as a ringtone.
So having done that I was curious is there a way to make that my voicemail? If so how?

I’m really hoping there is a way besides holding a voice recorder up to my phone then playing it back when renewing my voicemail message.

I want to start a podcast and I’m looking for a portable voice recorder to buy. I’m looking for suggestions. I don’t need anything expensive ($200max preferably), just a starter recorder. I plan do 30-60minute long podcasts.

How do I record from N64 to TV to digital recorder without hiss?

I have the model WS-6005 Olympus digital recorder and it works great for everything I do. I tested the N64 gaming console to the TV and to regular headphones and it sounds fine. Now….

When I hook up a stereo cable to the digital recorder from the TV, the music sounds terrible! I tested both Mono and Stereo cables, only to still hear the Hiss. So my conclusion is….it’s the recorder! How do I set the recorder (Olympus WS-6005) to cut out the old school Doom 64 reverberating hiss that is prominent? When I unplug the headphones and the cable, I notice the TV does create a loud buzz. I’m trying to record this smoothly.

I formatted my digital voice recorder using Windows 7 (I know now how stupid that was) and all it does now is to display “formatting” and beeps every 10 seconds. Is there a way out of this lame situation that I had put myself into or is my recorder dead for good?
