Can digital scales be used accurately on a carpet?
My analogue scales seem to say that I weigh more on a carpet than on other surfaces. Do digital scales do this?

You have 9 large composite cubes with a legnth of 8 cm each. The 9 large cubes are comprised of cubic?
You have 9 large composite cubes with a legnth of 8 cm each. The 9 large cubes are comprised of cubic centimetre cubes. Each of the smal cubes has a mass of 1.000 grams or 1.001 grams. The small cubes are all homogenous within each laerge cube- there are no large cubes comprised from a mix of light and heavy small cubes yu have an extrmely precise and accurate digital scale but it will only give one rreading then stop working. How can ty figure out which large cubes if any are comprised from heavy small with 100% confidence

How do you calculate the uncertainty of the molar concentration of a made chemical?
If I used a digital scale that goes to 2 decimal places, and a 100mL Volumetric Flask (± 0.1mL uncertainty), what is the uncertainty of the molar concentration done using these two materials?
Is my scale accurate? Please read!!?

Is my scale accurate? Please read!!?
Okay, so I’m a 14 year old girl and I am 5′0. Last summer, I was 4 inches shorter and I weighed 79 pounds. Then a few months after that, sometime in last October, I went up to 84 pounds. That was the last time I went to my doctor. But in February, my school had a fitness test and they used the scale with the arrow. and it said that I was 95 pounds. I didn’t trust that scale because I thought that it was impossible to gain that much weight in just a few months and my clothes still fit perfectly. Just today, I went to Bed Bath & Beyond and weighed myself again with the same type of scale and it said that my weight was in the low 90s. BUT, i bought a digital scale called “THINNER”. This time I took ALL my clothes off and it first said I weighed 79 pounds, then 77 and then 81.
When I went on the scale with the arrow I got really scared because it’s not normal to gain that much weight in such a short amount of time. But when I got on my digital scale that said I was 79 pounds I was thinking “Dang, I’m a size 00 but I know I’m not THAT skinny.”
By the way, I just went on the digital scale again twice and it said I was 75 pounds!!!
Do you guys think I should just trust my doctor?

2 sclaes.. 8 lb difference?
Okay. In December I weighed 145 according to a digital scale at someone’s home. Since then, I’ve been working out and have noticed I have lost weight because my arms have got thinner and my stomach is much flatter.
On a Rotating Dial Scale like this: (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sunbeam-Rotating-Dial-Bathroom-Scale-White/15524356) I weigh 132. On a digital scale I went and bought Saturday like this: (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Healthometer-LED-Split-Mat-scale/10264542) I weigh 140.2. I don’t know which to believe. They are both on tile floor and in the same room? Any advice?
I’m a DUDE! How did I gain 3 pounds in 2 days?

I\’m a DUDE! How did I gain 3 pounds in 2 days?
Introduction and background: (If you just want the issue skip the first 3 paragraphs.)
Upon losing a job within 3 weeks, I had chosen my last resort, trying to join the Air Force. I was told by the recruiter, “Work out and lose the weight…and study for the A.S.V.A.B (via A.S.V.A.B for dummies) We can get you all set up after that.” There’s a 7-month delay upon enlistment. By the time I get shipped out to Basic, I should be able to meet the requirements. I keep trying to tell my father that I don’t need to meet the requirements BEFORE enlisting but he won’t listen.
I had my own goals of reverting back to an old program that I dropped a significant amount of weight…Which was mainly to jog everyday. But my father hijacked my weight loss goals and bullied me into a program in which I run 1.5 miles every other day and walk 4 miles otherwise. Regular jogging is what helps me lose weight…But not gain speed to make a 1.5 miles in 13 min36sec.
I tried to put a jogging day in there and I lost 1 minute of speed. I think trying to run 200 pounds of fat and small muscles along a roadside in 13 minutes is useless, I’d be better at 185 or something. But what do I know, I’m not a retired 20-year-MSGT. So my belief based on past experience and works is nothing, right? I guess so.
Now that we have the preliminary whining out of the way, let’s get to the real issue of concern:
I’ve been weighing myself on 20-year old pink analog scale…That old thing is about 8 pounds off. According to that screw job called a scale, I’ve been stuck at 210 for a month. And I’ve been weighing myself post-exercise since I was little. It seems like I have my best weights after a run day.
Last Wednesday, I bought myself a new digital scale because I was tired of that thing. I’ve been weighing myself obsessively since then.
I weighed 202.2 the day I bought it…I weighed myself again on Friday and I was 201.4. And then I weighed myself on Sunday, 201.4. I reported to my father I was 201. (Sunday is when I report progress)
I weighed myself the next day (after running) and I was 200.0. Kinda strange drop.
To be honest, I eat like a man…but I try to moderate my portions and include veggies and/or salad.
No sodas or Kool-aid…I hardly ever eat doughnuts, pie, brownies, or fast food. Every once in a while I do…But for the most part I try to stay away from junk.
I’ve been doing this the whole time…Losing about 2 pounds a week. My appetite seems to fluctuate. I won’t feel like eating anything much other than my meals I plan to eat…But other days I just seem to turn into a beast, just snacking and what have you…And drinking a lot of water…That has happened over the last few days…
I stepped on the scale today and I 203.2!
I don’t really understand this. I’m a dude, there is no TOM for me. I don’t have a menstrual cycle, menopause, or PMS. (Some of these terms may be the same thing but I think you know what I mean) But besides splurging a bit what is the real issue?
The way I see it, I have to work off FOUR POUNDS just to get to 199 so I can report to my father that I lost 2lbs. But I can only lose 2 pounds a week. I’ve been so frustrated with everything since the new year. I’ve been working my ass off and seem to make no progress…
What’s going on?
I know what I did, so just give me an intelligent solution to my problem.
–”Stop eating, you fat f*ck” is not an intelligent solution, so spare me the bull crap!

weight of teaspoon and coffeespoon of salt?
If you have a precision digital scale, would you mind weighing 1/8th and 1/4th of a teaspoon and coffee-spoon flat-full of salt and tell the weight?

What can i use to calibrate my digital scale?? I want something that weighs EXACTLY a certain amount so i can?
by Jessica on Jun.11, 2010, under Digital Scale
What can i use to calibrate my digital scale?? I want something that weighs EXACTLY a certain amount so i can?
so i can test my scale from time to time, to see if it’s accurate or if it’s lying to me.
My scale measures up to 10 pounds, but i’d like to use something more like 3 ounces or maybe up to 10 ounces.
I can’t use a roll of quarters because quarters have too much variation and some of them wear out and aren’t the proper weight. I can’t use a can of soup or whatever, because they don’t include the weight of the can, plus it’s probably not a true measurement. Do you know what i’m asking for?
and i don’t want to have to buy a special weight, because i don’t even know where the hell they sell such things, and they are probably kinda expensive.
